Well, the forecast was for rain, and rain it has....all day long. Many of the outdoor events such as rec time, volleyball, softball, etc. have been cancelled and replaced with indoor activities. We gathered as a large group and had a time of fun in the chapel with 5 or 6 brain-teasing games and such. Although the rain has changed things a bit, the fuge staff had planned for it, and things are running pretty smooth.
The rain stopped this afternoon. We were finally able to walk places without getting drenched. Most all of the outdoor activities were cancelled, though.
Worship tonight was on motives, and really asked us the question "Do we do all that we do in the church for right reasons?" It made us all think if we do what we do just to stand in front of a crowd with a microphone, or relish applause, or others' approval. Or, do we do it because it is something God gifted us to do? It made us all think.
Tonight was the Talent Show. Kirby had 3 entries there. First, Jennifer Harvey sang "We Can Make a Difference", then Meagan Gallman sang "You Are All I Need", and last, but certainly not least, Matt Burrows played the "Star Wars Theme" on the keyboard. All three brought the house down. They all three did great and you parents should be really proud of them.
