    Today is the first full day at Fuge for the youth. Now that all the checking-in is done, we can get to some real worship and fun. Please pray for all the youth, and for the chaperones, especially those who are traveling back and forth. There are only about 250 youth here right now, as compared to around 600 last year. We make up about a fifth of the total youth here. There is another large group from Alabama. It's hot, but the youth are having a great time, and send their love home. Later today, we'll get some pictures up.

    It poured rain around 1:00 this afternoon, but cleared up soon after.

     Last night @ 6:30 a physically tired and spiritually drained group limped into the 6:30 Worship Service, but just as the rain had poured earlier in the day our God rained down on us last night in a very special way. The camp pastor Chad Poe preached a dynamic message on idol worship out of the book of Acts chapter 17. Though there was some response during the invitation in the chapel, the real response came during group devotional time afterward. What we had amounted to an extension of the invitation at chapel only with a much greater movement. Hearts were broken, sins were confessed and idols were lain down and left there. The whole feel of the camp has changed since last night. We are no longer only a youth group but I believe we have become a family again. Praise be to the Lord Jesus that he loves us enough, to at times, chastise us and point us back in the right direction.

    Tonight is the Spirit Night, where all of us dress up in our Gaffney Indian Attire, and we are running into the chapel to the Florida State War Chant.

OK, now that the Spirit Night is over, the results.......We Brought the House DOWN! Chants of G! H! S! will echo through the chapel for ages to come. We really showed these people what a Gaffney Redneck can pull from their sleeve!
